UPDATE on FLAT STANLEYS

It has been soooo exciting to hear from so many people who are having a blast with the Flat Stanleys.  The one in Kentucky is going to Churchill Downs.   There is one that has toured most of the monuments at Washington, D.C. and then on to New York!!!!  There is another Flat Stanley who will be visiting Carnegie Hall in New York and yet another one who has toured Pennsylvania.  The one in Houston has really had a lot of fun and has already made it home.  I cannot wait for the children to get their Flat People (they named them their own names) back to see all that they have done.  EB was the first to get her Flat Person back from her aunt in Anniston,AL!!! She was so excited.  AJ has received pictures daily from Mrs. Ellis (Mrs. Land's sister) who sent them as texts.  To top all of that off, ER has a Flat Person who is visiting in France and that Flat person is really taking in all of the sites......including bringing honor to the movie, Casablanca !  Wow! Here's looking at you, kid!!! or Flat Person!!!!
Come on back to this blog to see the results of places that our Flat People have traveled, as we continue to receive more of them daily.

I Scream, You Scream, for MSU Ice CREAM!!!

I think that I failed to mention that Mrs. Fulton planned a side trip to the MSU "Ice Cream" Store or Dairy.....I did not get any ice cream....but I did bring home some EDAM Cheese.  I was so excited about that, because we usually only get the cheese at Christmas!   Below are pictures of the children and teachers enjoying their treat!!!

Still more pictures of the field trip!!!!!

Wood Magic Science Fair.....continued

Below are more pictures from our field trip in Starkville.  Enjoy!

Wood Magic Science Fair

There was one proud teacher when we returned from the Wood Magic Science Fair in Starkville and that was me!! (Mrs. Land)  Parents and Administrators would have been super proud of the students in every way....they truly shined for Kosciusko and showed the very best behavior.  Were they perfect.....well, let's just say, I thought they were mighty close!  I would take this group to the moon and back.  At one point, as Mr. Land (my husband) sat watching children roll down the huge hill with absolute delight, I said, "I just love these kiddos!"  Thanks to the parents for entrusting me with part of the education and care of your children.  I will insert pictures from the field trip and I am so sorry that there are so many....but if you are the parent of one that I leave out,  this would sadden you and your child....so be patient with me as I upload all of the pictures.  We were so thankful to have Mrs. McAdams, Mrs. Doty, and my husband, Art Land, to chaperone with us.  I saved the absolute best chaperone for last.....what a blessing it is to have a super principal, who not only is willing to chaperone; but who will drive the bus, create a special tour of the campus and find a place for the kids to run some of the steam off before we head back home.  WOW!!! Parents, let Mrs. Fulton know how much you appreciate all that she does.  She not only wants the best academic success for your child, but is interested in growing your children socially, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.  We are BLESSED!!!

More pictures are on the way......Keep Watching for MORE!!!
