HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! May this year be full of opportunities and possibilities as we all strive to grow, learn, and develop in every way to be the BEST we can be. We will start off our year by finishing our Flat Stanley project with a display of our posters from all the places that were visited. Over the holidays, it was fun watching my mail person deliver even more packages......from Minnesota, Dubai, Georgia, Missoui, New York, South Carolina, and more. What fun it will be to open up these packages! My husband had to hide them from me to keep me from PEEKING in!!!

Parents and relatives, you will want to see the posters displayed on January 10, 2013 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. If that date changes, we will let you know by Monday. We need some parents to bring some light refreshments. Please let me know if you can bring finger sandwiches, cookies, or other finger foods. I will provide the punch!!! Thanks so much!!! YOU are the most AWESOME parents and SO supportive of all we do!!!!

The Flat People loved being around the Elf on the Shelf in a lot of places!!!

Mrs. Shivers relatives provided these adventures for their Flat visitor!

No matter where the Flat People went, it seemed the children and the pets loved them.......almost too much!!!

Excitement in the Air / Students get Flat People Back

Mrs. Land rescued the Flat People from her grandson......he loved visiting with L and B's Flat People!!!

The packages, letters, and pictures began to arrive and the children were so excited about opening and showing what they had received. Mrs. Land had to remind the children of our goal which was to send off the Flat Person and to get just one picture back. So many of our people were so eager in serving our students that they went over and beyond .......most of them said that it was because they had so much fun with the Flat People. One of Mrs. Land's relatives who had ( RT's) Flat Person even requested that the Flat Person be sent back to Kentucky to get a picture with the Sugar Bowl trophy!!! HAHA She was very serious too!!! Enjoy the pictures and do not be alarmed if you do not see your picture of you or your Flat Person on here. I have many, many pictures....but I also had a Computer Crash during the holidays....so the tech and I have had to search for pictures. Keep coming to this site to see more and more activities as we begin this New Year together. I'm so excited!!!!

TEACHERS ENJOY CHRISTMAS PARTY

The RUSTIC KITCHEN was the scene of the KUE staff Christmas party. Teachers had a wonderful meal and so much fun. We were very comfortable in our PJ's and enjoyed playing a Christmas Gift game called Dirty Santa. Now, for those of you who don't know that game......a person can open a gift with the knowledge that the next person can choose a new gift or "steal" one from someone else. It is a lot of fun.
